How do I clean my Porcelain Lid?
Porcelain enamel will wipe clean in seconds. It will not scorch, burn or discolor in a sustained high-heat environment (with the exception of red: under high heat red will turn a darker red but will come back to original color once temperatures are back to normal.) Porcelain enamel colors are unaffected by rain, snow, dust, sunlight, heat, oxidizing agents or corrosive fumes. The coating will not peel, blister or delaminate from its metal substrate or underlying porcelain enamel coating. The enamel lid is easy to clean, usually only by using a mild detergent and very little scrubbing effort.
How do I clean the Drip Pan?
Slide the drip pan out for easy cleaning. It should be cleaned frequently (every 4-5 uses) to avoid grease buildup. Grease and excess drippings pass through the drip pan, located under the grill, and accumulate in the disposable grease tray below the drip pan. Accumulated grease can cause a fire hazard. Do not line the drip pan with aluminum foil or sand, as it can prevent the grease from flowing properly.
How do I clean my Minden Master Gas Grill?
- After cooking, remove all food from your Minden Master Gas Grill.
- Use a grill brush to clean off all leftover bits from the grates. (Your Grill comes with porcelain-coated grates; only use a brass bristle brush on them. Don't ever use the scraper that comes on standard grill brushes; over time, they will chip the porcelain.)
- Once you have cleaned off the leftovers, turn off the Grill. Let it cool down.
- Spray vegetable oil on to the Grill to loosen any remaining food that is stuck on the grates. The leftover food bits will drop into the Grill and burn up the next time you turn it on to pre-heat.
What tools will I need to put my Minden Master Gas Grill together?

My Minden Master Gas Grill will not light properly. Why?
Check your Grill for these common causes: (CAUTION: Do not smoke around your Liquid Propane gas tank. It is highly FLAMMABLE.)
- Check your Liquid Propane (LP) gas supply. Lift the tank to determine its approximate weight. An empty Liquid Propane gas tank weights about 20 pounds. A full Liquid Propane tank weighs about 40 pounds.
- Make sure the valve on your Liquid Propane tank is open (turn it counterclockwise).
- Check to insure all gas connections are secure, including the gas connection tube to your Side Burner (one of our custom grill options).
- There may be an obstruction in the gas line. To correct this, remove the Liquid Propane Gas Regulator from your Grill. Open the gas supply for one second to clear any obstruction from the fuel line. Close off the gas supply at the source, and reconnect the fuel line to your Grill.
- If an obstruction is suspected in the orifice or gas valves, call us toll-free at
(888) 985-2249 so we can help fix the issue.
